Instructions:

Need to have the shield in hand first. Then find a frag or ink grenade and swap your smoke grenade with it. Your shield will be gone but actually you still have it. Now you can jump over cover, KungFu Flip, Fly Mount, or even dummy yourself and get out of the map first.

As soon as you switch to a different weapon like a Lancer or Shotgun, then shield will drop on the ground. Now pick it and use it to get to those unreachable places.
